CAROTID AND VERTEBRAL TESTING
Inside Ultrasound, Inc. can provide on-site training in introductory
level noninvasive carotid and vertebral testing. Class location and size can be customized to meet your needs.
Course Description
This introductory level course provides a basic understanding of carotid
and vertebral duplex testing for both the technologist and physician. The course includes: the basics of Doppler and
transducers, spectral analysis, color Doppler, anatomy & hemodynamics of the intracranial and extracranial arterial system,
clinical aspects of disease and treatment, physical examination and patient history, carotid and vertebral duplex testing
techniques, examination protocols, diagnostic criteria, reporting and testing validation.
Normal course length is 2 days
Normal class size is 1 to 6 participants
15 hours CME are available from the Society of Vascular Ultrasound
Course Materials
A master copy of the course material is included in the fees, or we will
ship pre-assembled binders for a nominal cost per item. If you choose to receive the master copy of the course material, we
ask that copies be made and put in binders, one per student
Continuing
Education
Continuing education credits from the Society of Vascular Technology can be provided for all persons completing the course
for a single fee.
