This introductory level course provides a basic understanding
of peripheral arterial physiological testing for both the technologist and physician. The course includes: the basics
of Doppler, anatomy & hemodynamics of the upper and lower arterial system, clinical aspects of disease and treatment,
physical examination and patient history, peripheral arterial testing techniques of the lower and upper extremities including;
Doppler, segmental pressures, waveform analysis, pulse volume recording, pedal digit pressure, hand digit pressure, thoracic
outlet syndrome, palmar arch patency, cold immersion, examination protocols, diagnostic criteria, reporting and testing validation.
